Cleveland Auto Show will be 2015 F-150’s Public Unveiling

Bob Gillingham Ford Press Release:

Bob Gillingham Ford is proud to announce that Ford has selected Cleveland as the first location in which the general public will have access to the all new 2015 F-150! This means that ANYONE who attends the Cleveland Auto Show (3/1 – 3/9 @ IX Center) can touch, feel, and even sit in the new truck!  At previous shows (Detroit, LA, Chicago) the truck’s access has been highly exclusive to industry professionals and company executives. Next weekend, Cleveland area2015 F150 Logo  auto professionals will get their first look at the new Ford F-150 at this year’s Auto Show on “Dealer Night”.   This is very exciting for Northeast Ohio Ford dealers who expect demand for the new trucks to be high as early as late 2014.  The model re-make features high-strength steel frame, high-strength military grade aluminum alloys to be used for the body and the available Cleveland-built EcoBoost engine!

In a recent article the Wall Street Journal went as far as saying the Ford’s use of the lighter aluminum in the F-150’s re-boot is the “single biggest real-world advance in fuel economy since the Arab oil embargo”.  The move to aluminum sets up the model to continue its sales dominance within the auto industry for years to come.  This decision will cut 700 pounds off the truck’s weight while helping the vehicle tow more, haul more, accelerate quicker, stop shorter, while contributing to overall performance efficiency.  It’s also packed with innovative and groundbreaking new technologies including a 360-degree camera that drivers can operate inside the cab.

Ford Truck Marketing Manager Doug Scott will give Cleveland dealers, car enthusiasts and media a first look at the new truck that has led the industry in sales for over 3 decades, on Friday, February 28th.  The public will then be able to view the new model beginning Saturday, March 1st for the first time!
